Interested in Animal Welfare volunteer in Tanzania? Tanzania Host Volunteer (THV) Animal Welfare project is a fantastic opportunity for volunteers to assist a local vet with treating a range of farm and domestic animals. Volunteers gain animal care experience while visiting farms and homes around Arusha to deliver and demonstrating Animal care in action in a developing country.
Help assist a local vet with a variety of veterinary projects, while working with a wide range of domestic and farm animals. Support the team at the shelter with the handling and care of the strays. Provide medical care and training.

Volunteer requirements
- Volunteers need to be 18 years or over to participate in this program. If you are under the age of 18, THV offers alternative volunteer opportunities for teens.
- All volunteers are required to speak fluent English, have adequate volunteer travel insurance and provide a criminal background check to THV before departure.
